Does anyone need an extra player for a men’s soccer team–preferably close to Raleigh but willing to travel.

Does anyone need an extra player for a men’s soccer team–preferably close to Raleigh but willing to travel.

I just moved here from Birmingham, Al where I was playing in two competitive leagues and one pure recreational league. I have played my entire life, including having coached highschool for three years during college.

I primarily play defense, but am comfortable anywhere in the midfield. I can play offense as well, but am less comfortable in that role.

Anyone have any experience with fence builders in the area?

Anyone have any experience with fence builders in the area?

Hey folks. Hope everyone's enjoying their holidays. I just bought a house in Wake Forest and I'm looking to fence in the backyard for my dog.

Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with companies that built fences around here? I'm looking to get a quote with a few options before I decide whether to contract it out or do it myself.

I don't have an HOA to worry about, and I need to catch my neighbor long enough to find out if he'd let me build off of his, but I'm hoping to make a decision in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for a cheap, nice apartment in a good area (x-post R/Raleigh)

Looking for a cheap, nice apartment in a good area (x-post R/Raleigh)

I am needing to move ASAP (end of month) and I am considering the Raleigh area and I am wondering what apartments or areas I should look into. I am 27 and recently unemployed (quit a position that was 100% travel after burning out). Therefore, I am also on a limited budget for now, but I have had several opportunities in recent months from Raleigh, that I was unable to follow through with due to my former job and therefore I am hoping to be employed within the next 3-6 months. I have about over a year’s pay saved and some additional temporary income. I am looking for a place somewhere safe, close to activities, and around $600-$800 for a 1+ bedroom.

I also am looking to stay away from college apartments if possible. Any suggestions on where I should look?

Moving to the area and need help. With the moving. Because of too many pets.

Moving to the area and need help. With the moving. Because of too many pets.

Hey!

My wife and I are moving to the area, probably in May, but as late as the end of June. She makes high 5, near 6-figures and will work near Research Triangle Park. I will make 1 figure ($0) plus whatever my home business makes (pretty scalable, but less if I'm employed full time). I should be able to find a full-time job making mid to high 5 figures. We would like something less than $1200/month.

The problem is that we have two dogs and two cats (all at least 5 years old, and do not chew/scratch/pee on things). We want a single family house or townhouse because my home business involves lots of shipping so apartments are not ideal.

We're open to urban, suburban, rural, whatever (they all have advantages and disadvantages), but we need to be able to bring our four pets because I'm a sucker and my wife is a sucker and we can't give them up. We have no kids but are mid-30's professionals, so we would prefer to be in a neighborhood with other similarly-aged, educated people.

I've been a redditor forever and seen how helpful it can be, but I've never lived in the triangle, so I'm hoping one makes up for the other.

So, where do I look? What property management companies do you all use? Any landlords looking for a financially stable couple and willing to overlook their fat, lazy pets?

Thank you!

Edit: I'll add that we really don't care about square footage, but do care about being in a reasonably crime-fee area. For what that's worth. We can pay more than $1200 if necessary, but we aren't looking for luxury, just a safe, reasonable place to live.

NC Fresh Catch is having a party on Friday at the Durham Armory with great food and music. Tickets are on sale at their website, and a pair of tickets are being given away on Facebook if you are interested in trying to win them.

Good tailor in the Greater Raleigh area?

Good tailor in the Greater Raleigh area?

I've been looking, but I can't seem to find a good, "real" tailor. When I say that, I don't just mean one who can get the job done. I mean one who's actually knowledgeable about menswear, and has a passion for it. I'm looking for the kind I can actually get to know, and who remembers what I like and dislike.

I know it's asking a lot, but I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could point me towards a tailor resembling this!
