Need something embroidered before Christmas

Need something embroidered before Christmas

I got our kids goggles and lab coats for Christmas (they are OBSESSED with Bill Nye). I want to get their names embroidered on the coats, but everywhere I've checked either can't do it by next Friday, or wants an exorbitant amount of money to do it. Anyone know an inexpensive place that can do it by Christmas Eve? Save me reddit, you're my only hope.

Seeking Golf buddies! Just moved to the area

Seeking Golf buddies! Just moved to the area

Hi everybody! I just moved to the area (Apex) with my fiancee. The chaos from the move has finally settled and am looking to break my golf bag back out. I've heard there are a lot of good courses in the area. Is there anybody that's from the area that's looking for a casual golf buddy? I'm 22/M, I work in IT, and generally pretty into a lot of outdoor activities. I am a relatively new golfer. I only started a couple months ago. However, I am rapidly improving. I'd say I'm pretty close to breaking 100. What I'm looking for: Casual fun. I'm not looking for somebody who is going to put me down for scoring an 8 on a par 4, make fun of me if I don't hit my PW for 300 yards, or criticize everything I do. I'm looking for some golf partners just to have a good time with, have some good laughs, talk about life, and just enjoy the time on the course. I prefer to walk the courses, I'll be investing in a nice push cart soon. I'm not picky about age. I've played with people that were younger than me as well as a group of seniors. I'm not picky about skill level either. I'm assuming most people are going to be better than me, and that's great. It gives me something to work towards and strive to improve myself. Frequency: I'm probably looking to play on a weekly basis, depending on the cost of the courses. I would love to hear back from anybody! Please post below and then feel free to PM me 🙂 Thanks!

Pro-Choice Volunteers Needed in Raleigh

Pro-Choice Volunteers Needed in Raleigh

What we need: Pro-Choice folks who have a desire to stand on the front lines, defending abortion access. Our Volunteer Clinic Defense team needs your help! A Raleigh clinic is currently the target of daily anti-abortion protests and the clinic patients suffer the worst of it. Our volunteer group assists at the clinic by helping patients navigate the chaos, park, and offer a friendly companion from their car to the front door. We see protesters every day the clinic is open (Monday – Saturday) and we need help both on weekdays and weekends. This is NOT an opportunity to counter protest, rather, a chance to support people who are making an abortion decision and make sure they can access this medical care without fear and intimidation. We are also working on getting car pools set up for interested volunteers living in the Durham and Chapel Hill areas. If you have any questions, just ask! If you would like to get involved send us an email at prochoicevolunteers (at) gmail.com or a message on reddit works too! Thanks!

Need some advice – trouble getting the word out

Need some advice – trouble getting the word out

edit – A common theme was that prices were a bit high. I have revised them to be significantly lower, and those updated prices are now live on the site! Fantastic feedback so far, everyone! Thank you so much for your contributions – I truly appreciate it! When this is up and running full steam I'll send you all a brief time-capsule message letting you know what impacts your suggestions have had (for the better, I'm sure!) Another note: someone requested further lower prices to incentivize trying us out. I made a discount code "Narwhal" (har har) that gives 20% off a single-time clean.

Hey guys, I need some help from those of you with a keen eye and some spare time 🙂 I've just started up a new cleaning company centered in the triangle area. The problem is.. I'm getting some serious traffic via google adwords, but only a very small amount of actual bookings. I created a pretty bangin' website (http://www.trianglemodernmaids.com/), the pricing is comparable to our competitors, and as far as I can tell (from my rather biased standpoint) there are very few barriers to people signing up. Our maids have ~10 years experience working together and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from every job so far. So.. the question I have for you is: What could I be doing better in terms of promotion? Or can you let me know what shortcomings you see in the website? Or.. do you have any wacky ideas that might be helpful? I would really appreciate any thoughts you might have 🙂 Is this something that under the right conditions, you would be willing to give a go? Thanks for your help!

Anyone from England in the Triangle?

Anyone from England in the Triangle?

I moved from Blighty to the US (Fort Lauderdale) in 2014 and to the Triangle (Durham) in the Summer this year. Just wondering if there were any of my fellow countrymen up this way. I think I've met just one since I moved here and he was on a business trip (and a bit of a tosser).

Looking for best restaurants in Durham/Chappel Hill

Looking for best restaurants in Durham/Chappel Hill

My wife and I are planning a visit to NC to watch some basketball. We'd love to consider ourselves "foodies," and would love to know some great unique local eateries that we must hit up while in town. Also this is my very first Reddit post. I'm super proud of myself.
