Looking for scary…but not too scary! Any ideas?

My son is 11 and thinks he wants to go to his first Haunted House this year. I would like to take him…but I am hesitant because I had experiences at his age at haunted events that were WAY too scary. So troubling in fact, that I have not been to a haunted house since (I'm in my 40s).

Can anyone recommend an attraction that would be fun/scary instead of seriously screaming scary (but not little kid lame)?
