Nervous about software development opportunities in the triangle.

I'm an Australian looking at utilising a visa only available to Australians and New Zealanders which allows us to work and live in the U.S. for one year. My period of work eligibility would be January 9th 2014 to 2015.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and another in Mechanical Engineering (graduated December 2013). I also have some work experience programming in Java. I've spent the last year travelling with a period working on a summer camp in the U.S. in the middle.

What do those who work in the industry think my chances of getting a job as a software developer for the start of next year given employers will know I'm only available for the year?
